CRANBERRY TEA

I love winter. During the winter when I was younger, my mom made cranberry tea that we’d heat up and feel all nice and cozy during the cold months. My whole family loves cranberry tea … once the weather turned cold, I decided I needed to make the beloved drink to keep my warm. And I thought I’d share the recipe.

CRANBERRY TEA

Ingredients

  • 1 quart boiling water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups of red hots
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 quart of cranberry juice
  • 1 6-ounce can frozen orange juice (one regular can split in half)
  • 1 6-ounce can frozen lemonade (one regular can split in half)
  • 4 more quarts of water

Directions

Boil 1 quart of water. Stir in red hots, sugar and cloves. Cook until the sugar and red hots have dissolved. Then mix in cranberry juice, frozen orange juice, frozen lemonade, and 4 quarts of water. Mix until everything is dissolved and warm. Fish out cloves before serving.  🙂  Enjoy!

Makes 6 1/2 quarts.
