I WILL TRY TO RUN!

I get it! I’ve seen the signs … I will try to run sometime this weekend. I WILL TRY. Because the Wisconsin area is experiencing a lovely heat wave (read: anything above 0 degrees), I’ve seen a handful of people running OUTSIDE! What are you doing, runners? Get your butt back inside the house where it’s warm and cozy!

On our way to dinner to one night, Charlie and I saw TWO runners. One my way to work the next morning, I saw a runner … he was running before 8 a.m.! What is wrong that runner? Then on my way home from work, I saw a couple running with two dogs and then a guy running, but I wasn’t sure if he was really running because he had his hands stuffed in the pockets of his windpants. Was he cold and just running to get to Point A to Point B faster? Did he just stuff his hands in his pockets because he forgot his gloves? He looked like a runner. Stocking cap. Black hooded sweatshirt. Black striped windpants. Having his hands stuffed in his pockets threw me off.

If I’m not running outside after work today (I get off work at 3 p.m.), then I will try the dumb Wii exercise games that Charlie got for me. We have EA Sports, which I don’t know what that’s about, and The Biggest Loser, where I get to choose to be a former contestant and have Jillian yell at me for not moving fast enough. Lovely. So, there’s my promise to the five readers … I will try to exercise this weekend.

  1. There’s no TRY. How about just do it, and no offense, but the Wii fit doesn’t really count. 2 minutes at a time won’t cut it.
