DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know that exercise helps lower your glucose levels? I walked along the Mississippi River after work Monday for about an hour. The sun was shining. Slight breeze kept me cool. My legs were exhausted when I headed to my car. My glucose level before dinner time — 125. Woot!

I left work an hour early today to work out at the company gym. Oh yes, I did. I got paid to work out. I got paid to walk briskly on the treadmill for about 45 minutes. I jogged for about three minutes (running is hard). I got paid to use a rowing machine for about 15 minutes (first time I used a rowing machine so I’m pretty sure I did not get a good workout on that contraption). Oh, my level before dinner — 121. Suck on that diabetes.

Did you know that I felt pretty amazing while walking briskly on the treadmill at a nice little incline? I felt good. I hate to admit this, but it felt good to work out. Sssssssh. Don’t tell anyone.
