PICTURE POST: FIELD MUSEUM

CHICAGO DAY 1: The main lobby area to the Natural Field Museum in Chicago. Charlie and I spent the entire day at the museum on our first day in Chicago. Our feet hurt by the end of the day. But so worth it.

The view of the main lobby area from the second floor of the museum.

The Egyptian exhibit -- no mummies came to life. I think the exhibit was one of Charlie's favorites.

Of course, I had to check out the animal exhibit. This display is one of my favorites -- not really sure why. I love the beauty and simplicity of the display.

Of course, I have to take a photo of cats -- even in the wild. Aren't they adorable?

The surrounding area outside the field museum. Photo taken from the window -- so I really don't know what the buildings are in the background.

The lab area where staff members examine all of the artifacts and stuff. This is not the area where baby dinosaurs are born much to my disappointment.

This isn't where baby dinosaurs are born either.

Jewelry! One of my favorite exhibits. I especially loved the diamond portion. Um, Charlie, my birthday is coming up. Hint hint.

I thought the museum did an amazing job with all of the displays, especially this one. I love the visual display and the way the miniature figures are blended into the painted background. Simply amazing and beautiful.
