SEW BEAUTIFUL

MY HANDIWORK: Yes, I should’ve used black thread for the mend, but I didn’t have any available when I was in the mood to fix my favorite purse. Besides, who is going to notice my handiwork on the second pocket?

MY HANDIWORK: Yes, I should’ve used black thread for the mend, but I didn’t have any available when I was in the mood to fix my favorite purse. Besides, who is going to notice my handiwork on the second pocket?

This is the second time I’ve had to mend the lining in the second pocket of my favorite purse. But I actually don’t mind mending because I feel such a sense of accomplishment and pride when I’m done. I discovered the first rip in the lining seams when I couldn’t locate the loose change I always throw in there. When my fingers discovered the little hole, I discovered about $10 worth of loose change that had fallen through the open lining. Not to mention, my purse then felt quite a bit lighter after emptying all of the change. Hopefully, my mends will allow me to keep my favorite purse a little bit longer.
