READY FOR FOOTBALL SEASON

Last Christmas, Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers fleece topped my wish list because I wanted to make his and hers fleece tie blankets. At first, my intention was to try a new no-sew method – by looping fleece strips into each other or something. I tried the new method on a few strips, but I wasn’t impressed with the results. I just didn’t like the way it looked. So, I went back to what I know best – the tie method.

I also take great care to make sure my tie blankets look nice. My knots are nice and tight. The ties are carefully trimmed to a reasonable length. I actually completed my Vikings blanket sometime in January and has been handy (when Charlie hogs the comforter in the middle of the night). A couple of weeks ago, I had the motivation and time to finally complete Charlie’s Packers blanket – all ready for the football season!
