Yay! I made it! My 1,000 post! Woot! Oh, so many people to thank …

The first person I need to thank is my sister, Krissy, for starting a blog of her own and telling me about it. I honestly don’t know if I would’ve started one without her. Other than sharing my very little to non-existent life as a writer, I really had no idea what to blog about, which is very evident in my first dozen posts. I had no idea what I was doing. So, thank you to Krissy and my other sister, Becky, for posting ideas that I blatantly stole from their sites. Also, thank you, Krissy and Becky, for having adorable kids so I can post pictures and share stories about them.

I have to thank my perfectly adorable nieces and nephews for making me laugh and giving me so many memories. Without them, my blog would contain way more cute and adorable animal photos and a ton more pictures of my pretty little kitties (RIP, Calvin – I miss you so much). Watching my nieces and nephews grow makes me a little bitter because that means I’m getting older. I was 26 years old when Ethan was born – 26! I age every time I see Ethan. But being able to watch them grow, learn, laugh, etc. are amazingly sweet moments that I wouldn’t trade or give up.

A huge thank you to my five readers who are not members of my immediate family. Thank you for sticking with me through all of these years. Even when my posts were less than stellar and when I took unexpected (read: lazy) or planned hiatuses, you still traveled at my blog. I hope I made you smile or laugh with my posts, especially the super adorable and hilarious animal pictures. Your silent support just pushes me to share my thoughts and opinions day after day, week after week, year after year. Thank you so much for sticking with my amazingly boring blog.

I blog because I love to write. I may not be spending my days writing books, but blogging keeps my mind and fingers active. I love creating and telling stories, and one day, I would absolutely love to focus on books. But I also don’t mind sharing my thoughts, stories, and pictures on my blog. I post cute and funny animal photos monthly because those pictures made my mom smile when she read our blogs (me and my sisters). Although she may not know who I am at times, I will always, always remember her and try to make her smile.

Thank you for reading, and here’s to another 1,000 posts and pictures.
