PICTURE POST: TRIP TO D.C. AREA

Charlie and I

Charlie and I spotted some great plane tickets to the D.C. area, where his best friend lives. The timing was right … so we hopped a plane to Virginia. I had the window seat and snapped a photo minutes before the flight attendant instructed to turn off all mobile devices.

Charlie and I loved hanging out with this guy, Busy -- our friends' awesome dog.

Charlie and I loved hanging out with this guy, Busy — our friends’ awesome dog. He’s so sweet and lovable. Although he loves attention and cuddling, Busy had no problem entertaining himself or just retreating to the couch for a nap. He’s such a cool dog.

Our friends took us to a fabulous Korean restaurant during our first night in the area.

Our friends took us to a fabulous Korean restaurant — Honey Pig —┬áduring our first night in the area. The meal was absolutely fabulous, the staff were outgoing and great, and K-Pop videos played in the background.

I was a very very very happy girl when our first stop in D.C. was at NEWSEUM!

I was a very very very happy girl when our first stop in D.C. was at NEWSEUM! I looked at Newseum’s web site all the time when I worked at the newspaper — just studying the front page designs. Newseum was amazing, and I’m pretty sure I could’ve spent the entire day there.

I saw these cute little magnets that reminded me of my friends in journalism.

I saw these cute little magnets that reminded me of my friends in journalism. I bought two magnets: PROVE IT! and I’M SILENTLY CORRECTING YOUR GRAMMAR. I have the tendency to do the latter. I’ll be posting a few more picture posts from trip while I continue to work on some refashions!
