A TOUCH OF ORGANIZED CHAOS

THE START OF MY SCRAP QUILLOW BACKING

THE START OF MY SCRAP QUILLOW BACKING

So, as I’ve been working on quillows, I have found myself with a stash of fleece scraps that I couldn’t force myself to toss. With a little bit of creativity and time, I know I could something with the fleece scraps. Not wanting to wait for the perfect time or anything, I started to sew the small fleece pieces together with the idea of using it for a quillow backing. I love the idea of using the scraps for a quillow backing, but I have difficulty resisting the urge to cut the fleece pieces into matching pieces.

My idea is simply to sew the fleece pieces together whenever I’m working on a quillow. No rhyme or reason for fleece placements — just simply sew. And the process is driving me crazy! I love designing. I’m not a big fan of randomness. Also, I don’t like sewing cute little insects next to an NFL team. None of the fleece pieces really match each other, but the thought of sewing all the remnants together just make sense. I’m very curious to find out how the random scrap backing will turn out once it reaches the right size. I hope it looks OK.  🙂
