I finally found a home for all of my sentimental stuffed animals and dolls! After being stored in plastic totes for YEARS because my previous residences were a little too small for my collection, my precious dolls and animals can shine. Well, sort of. They are now sitting on the top shelf in the linen closet. Hey! Don’t judge!
Our place is still a work in progress, and I’m trying the best I can to keep the downstairs living room from becoming too cluttered. After rummaging through the plastic totes in the garage, I decided to finally clean my precious dolls and animals from the years of dust, insects, etc.
Joella Jan is my very first Cabbage Patch kid. Shockingly, she is wearing her original clothes but I lost her white shoes and still carrying her original name because I liked the name Joella. Now, I’m not a big fan of the name Jan as a middle name. Is it too late to change her middle name? Joella Paige … hmmmmmmm. I like that a lot better.
Joshua? Jacob? No idea. And I can’t even remember who gave me Christopher in the first place. All I remember is his head occasionally popped off for some reason, and my dad would place his headless body on his head. So, Christopher could stand on his head — get it? My dad took a picture of his silly cleverness.
Anita is my first little preemie. I have no idea why I kept Olive as Anita’s middle name, and come to think of it, why didn’t I just completely change her name? Not a big fan of the name Anita. Again, is it too late to change a Cabbage Patch Kid’s name? Other than disposing of the diaper, Anita is wearing her original clothes.
I’m 90% sure her middle name is Sue, and for a millisecond I thought about naming her Peggy. I’m pretty sure I received the Cabbage Patch Kid knockoff as a gift, but I have no idea what happened to her original clothes. I’m pretty sure I bought cute little onesie thingys for Kimberly and Christopher. Maybe I buy new clothes for them — I mean, it has been a few years.
