PHOTO RECAP 21: SEW AWESOME

MY DAD COVERED A HEADBOARD WITH THIS GREY MATERIAL A FEW YEARS AGO, BUT THEN CHANGED THE MATERIAL A FEW MONTHS AGO. KNOWING I COULD DO SOMETHING WITH THE FABRIC DESPITE SOME TINY HOLES, MY DAD GAVE IT TO ME! YAY!

TWO BLACK SHIRTS WAITING FOR A REFASHION. I’VE STARTED TWO REFASHIONS, USING THE SHIRTS, BUT BOTH PROJECTS HAVE STALLED A TEENY BIT. I’M NOT SURE WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT — NEEDING A SEWING MACHINE FOR A FEW HOURS OR A LITTLE BIT MORE MATERIAL.

NEEDLE AND THREAD. *SIGH* I MISS MY SEWING MACHINE, BUT I’M PRETTY SURPRISED AT THE AMOUNT OF PROJECTS AND REFASHIONS I’VE BEEN ABLE TO COMPLETE WITH JUST A NEEDLE AND THREAD. I’M PRETTY PLEASED WITH MYSELF.

I THREW THIS SKIRT REFASHION ON THE FLOOR IN A MINOR FIT OF IMPATIENCE AND FRUSTRATION. MY ADJUSTMENTS AND FIXES WEREN’T WORKING OUT THE WAY I HAD HOPED, AND I THREW THE SKIRT ON THE FLOOR, GIVING UP. HOWEVER, I SAVED MY NEW SKIRT WITHIN THE HOUR.

A WORK-IN-PROGRESS REFASHION, TURNING A BLOUSE INTO A CUTE AND FLIRTY SKIRT. WELL, I HOPE IT TURNS INTO A SUPER CUTE AND FLIRTY SKIRT.

905

ONE OF MY T-SHIRT REFASHIONS, MAKING THE ARMHOLES AND SLEEVES MORE GIRLY FOR ME. I HAVEN’T PERFECTED THE ART, BUT I HAVE PLENTY OF OVERSIZE SHIRTS TO PRACTICE ON.

MY SECOND SEWING BOX THAT I KEEP NEXT TO MY SIDE WHEN I SEW IN FRONT OF THE TV. FOR SOME REASON, I CANNOT RESIST THE CUTE LITTLE DECORATIVE BOXES THAT ARE ON CLEARANCE AT MICHAEL’S CRAFT STORES. FOR 99 CENTS, I’M PRETTY SURE I COULD FIND SOMETHING TO STORE IN THE BOXES.

RILEY SAYS, “STOP SEWING AND PET ME NOW!” ONE OF THE DISADVANTAGES OF SEWING ON A SMALL OTTOMAN IS PRETTY LITTLE CLARA AND SWEET PUMPKIN RILEY LIKE TO JUMP ON IT AND SEEK ATTENTION. HOW I CAN RESIST TWO ADORABLE FLUFFY CATS?
