OHIO TRIP: THIS AND THAT

TIMBITS! Or doughnut holes. My sister, Krissy, absolutely loves and adores Timbits from Tim Hortons and refuses to describe them as doughnut holes. To me and Charlie, the doughnut holes were good — not amazing — just good. I snapped this quick picture to make my sister jealous.

Meet Ruger — our friends’ dog. He’s so beautiful! One day he snuck into the guest bedroom and jumped right on the bed. I would have loved to cuddle with him on the bed, but Charlie opposed the idea. Sad face. However, Ruger and Busy (the other cute pup) made me miss my two little kitties a little less.

Little Busy — our friends’ second dog — takes a nap on my book. I was so happy Ruger and Busy were so friendly and cuddly during our visit, and I had a chance to hang out with our friends’ neighbors beautiful American bulldog, Brutus.

During our trip to Ohio, I wanted to visit two places — the Columbus Zoo and the Center of Science and Industry (COSI). My wonderful husband and our friends granted both my wishes! This awesome trip-back-in-time exhibit was part of the Progress section at COSI, which was a great place to hang out for a few hours.

This beautiful moth was created from recycled materials. The small sign on the left lists some of the items used to make up the moth and asks if visitors can spot the items. The artist created several moths, and I was just drawn to the wall exhibit. So incredibly creative and inventive.

A cute snapshot of me and my amazing husband at COSI. We had a wonderful time walking around all the exhibits and then capped off the day with our very first visit to Dave and Buster’s! I’ve seen commercials for D&B and I’ve heard the references, but I have never been to one — until now! Games and alcohol! What more could a girl ask for?
